Hear me out. I first discovered Pilates almost out of sheer desperation.
I was searching for something to help me feel better, though I’d never tried it before. So, like many people, I started at home where no one could watch me trip over my own feet. The safety and privacy of my living room, along with Blogilates videos, helped me fall in love with exercise for the first time. It was such a turning point; I realised I wasn’t just clumsy and uncoordinated after all.
Like so many of us, my whole working life revolved around sitting at a desk. Whether you love your job or not, we can all agree that long hours hunched over a computer aren’t doing our bodies any favours. For years, I truly believed exercise just wasn’t for me. As a tall person with fallen arches, I hunched, I tripped (often spectacularly), I ached and had no idea why.
But Pilates changed all that.
Once I understood the basic principles, how to properly control my movements, I saw real, meaningful improvements. They even carried me thorugh a 2nd pregnancy and speedy c-section recovery.
My posture improved, my aches faded, and for the first time ever, I felt strong and confident. People stopped calling me “the clumsy one,” and honestly, that felt amazing. Naturally, I wanted to shout about it from the rooftops. I wanted to help others experience what I had. Because if someone like me, who couldn’t dance or move gracefully to save her life, could improve posture, alignment, strength, endurance and coordination, so can you.
My goal is simple: to bring fun, joy, confidence and a real sense of achievement to every class.
